Going into a book, Craig wants to know as little as possible about the journey ahead. Back cover/jacket plot descriptions are especially loathsome, but even most book reviews reveal far more about the story than Craig wants to know. Craig’s book reviews are founded on the premise that maybe somebody else out there has similar enough taste to Craig’s that his answer to a question like “If you could send a message to your earlier self, would you tell that self to read this book?” might be useful.
Non-fiction is different, and Craig invites each reader to make up her own mind rather than offering a verdict.
